Lucara Finds Massive 2,492ct Rough

Lucara, the Canadian mining company operating the Karowe mine in Botswana has announced the recovery of an exceptionally large 2,492ct diamond. The mine is renowned for exceptional and large diamonds of high quality, including the the 1,758 carat Sewelô and the 1,109 carat Lesedi La Rona. William Lamb, President and CEO of Lucara: "This find not only showcases the remarkable potential of our Karowe Mine, but also upholds our strategic investment in cutting-edge XRT technology." The rare find underscores Botswana's position as leading diamond producer and the country's progress in developing a diamond industry for the benefit of its citizens, the release added.
